At 04:46 A.M. Central and Station 6 responded to a report of smoke by a tenant of the apartment building at 34 Spring St. Engine 1, first arriving engine, reported smoke conditions visible from the street. Upon further investigation fire crews quickly located the kitchen fire in a wall and searched the entire building for victims. Combined efforts from all of the stations and assistance from Brewer limited damage to the building and the occupants belongings. Any delay in teamwork or execution by A-crew could have been catastrophic for this older building. The professional firefighter and leadership once again, gets the the job done.
